Today Zim Zam recipes brought to you a flavourish Mint leaf rice or Pudina rice. Very simple process and will be tasty one with health potential.
Ingredients used for the pudina rice is available all over the the world so no need to describe separately for my friends in India or to friends out of India.
Both my friends can make it easily by using their mode of cooking.
Why Pudina (Mint Leaf) is healthy. Lets find out below the benefits it will give.

It helps in indigestion problem.
It minimise the irritable bowel systems.
It helps the mothers who have a breast feeding pain.
It prevents from cough and cold.
It helps in keeping mouth fresh and can minimise the bad breath smell.
Ingredients:
Raw Rice 1 cup
Mint leaf (Pudina patha) 20 grams
Onion one chopped
Garlic(optional) 4 cloves chopped
Ginger chopped little
Green chilli as per taste
Turmeric powder half spoon
Bay leaf 2
Cinnamon 1 stick
Clove 2
Salt to taste
Preparaion:
1.Wash and soak the rice for half an hour.
You can use any of the rice available with you.
You can use Basmati Rice, Biryani Rice, Jeeraga Sambha Rice or any of your daily cooking Raw Rice.
2.Grind the mint leaf with green chilli to a paste.
You can use Pan or Cooker to make the Pudina Rice.
Heat oil or ghee whatever you want to use.
Add cinnamon, clove and bay leaf first.
Fry a little then add ginger and garlic to it.
Fry till you find a fried flavour of all then add chopped onion.
Fry till it is cooked to mix the pudina chilli paste.
Add turmeric powder.
After adding the Pudina paste don't fry for a long time.
Just fry to get mixed with fried onion and all.
Now add the rice and stir for two minutes.
Now it's time to add water and salt.
Add two cups of water.
If you are using cooker then go for one whistle.
If your rice is tough enough to be cooked then go for two whistle.
If it can be cooked with one whistle then put your stove to off otherwise the rice will become paste type.
If you are using pan then cover with a lid and keep your stove in sim and let it cook.
Friends out of India can complete the first portion of ingredients to be fried in pan.
If you want to use microwave oven then add the fried items with rice.
Cook the mixed rice in microwave oven as you make as usual.
Note:
You can make Mint leaf rice with your left over rice also.
Add the left over rice after completing the fried preparation. Mix well and keep on slow flame by putting a lid for five minutes.
You can add vegetables like carrot beans if you want to. For crispy chew you can add peanut also while frying the ingredients.
Your Pudina rice will be ready to eat .
